Tara Sosrowardoyo (b. 1953, New York City)

Tara Sosrowardoyo is one of Southeast Asia's leading photographers.

Tara started his career in photography in 1977 as a stills photographer in the Indonesian film industry. He is based in both Jakarta and Kuala Lumpur and has been represented by Getty Images, New York since 1986. He has also had his work featured in publications around the globe such as Asia Magazine, ASIAWEEK, Newsweek, Time Magazine, GEO, Marie Claire, the New Yorker, the New York Times and, more locally, Men's Review.

Amongst his achievements, Tara is credited with having shot six Time (Asia) Magazine covers, and many other portraits of influential figures in Indonesia and Malaysia.
